These pictures were taken at the Kalashnikov museum and exposition center in Izhevsk Russia. A special thanks to Vladimir Makarov for providing them.

What looks like "THrP" is the word "Tiger" (tigr) in Russian.

This military SVD appears to be a post-1999 manufactured model which has no external lightening cut outs on the receiver.

Also note the later-manufactured PSO-1 scope which no longer features the Infra-red detector, though to be no longer needed.

In this close-up of the rifle above it is easy to see the flat receiver walls of this military issued SVD.

SVDS ("CBAC") and SVD ("CBA") military sniper rifles. On the SVD is mounted the older 1PN-58 night vision scope and the latest version of the polymer stock and handguard.
